The office of National Statistics has today released the inflation results for July which show that the Consumer Prices Index (CPI) has jumped 0.6% from 3.8% June to 4.4% in July.  This is the highest leap since records began in 1997!

Food has leapt to an incredible 13.6% another record for CPI.  The cost of petrol and diesel as well as electricity and gas, all continue to fuel the relentless increase in the cost of our most basic needs.
